Improvement is a selfish act.
We chase improvement to get better. We get better to be more competitive. If we’re more competitive, we win more.
Makes perfect sense.
And it makes no sense that we want our competition to get better, right? Because if they are better than we probably win less.
Or could it be…when our competition improves, and we use that as motivation to improve, then we both get better.
And as WE improve, those around us improve.
JFK was known to say, “a rising tide lifts all boats.”
In the long run, there is probably great advantage to you to be that rising tide.
