So where do you keep them? Usually, three choices
The pocket comes first
Usually, not always—but frequently, the tools we use most are no further away than our pocket. Right at the end of our arm. Within finger’s reach. What’s in your’s right now? Keys? Phone? Wallet? Gum?
Then there’s the tool belt
For a construction worker a tool belt keeps that next level of important tools handy. Ah, but coaches usually don’t wear tool belts . . . but, how about a backpack? Or purse (man- or woman-)?
And the all mighty tool-box
Everyone has a tool box, somewhere. And that’s a good place for tools, but those be the third level of importance tools. Really, down the food chain.
Okay, you still might use them, but probably infrequently.
Why should you care?
Putting the tools you use most in the best place to find them can be really helpful (if size permits). And, where you place a tool gives you an idea of how important it is, and that could make a difference in what you consider about purchasing an upgrade or replacement.
